Born 1985 in Tehran, Mo Shabani grew up in a variety of cities but calls Vancouver home. His career began in 2007 on construction sites as a carpenter before navigating retail build-outs. All the while he was developing his design skills and honing them in London before moving to Philadelphia to co-found fine furniture brand Studio Cidra. After the most recent move to Vancouver he settled into working through Manner Studio creating carefully considered furniture and designing retail spaces for online brands venturing into brick and mortar. Developing design languages for brands and exploring a new wave of furniture production defines his studio practice.
